Our December Buddy_Cups meeting took place on 1st December and together with a delicious lunch provided by Phil and team, we had a talk from one of our ladies, Rhoda about her work at a local Foodbank and the difference it can make to those who use their food services. Her local food bank can also link people into other services as needed. It was a great insight into their work and highlighted ways we can all help.  Our group had donated food items for Durham Foodbank and when these were weighed in they were equivalent to 43 meals. Â
Our next social event the Christmas Social on Friday 15th December for an evening of Christmas music, Mulled wine, Christmas nibbles, quiz and chat. The event is open to all our members plus friends and family and is free. Â
A new book will be revealed this coming Wednesday at Book Club, which this month is meeting at the historic Crook Hall, Durham. Â
