Connecting Through Friendship and Wellbeing-Buddy Cups July Meeting

A fun afternoon was had by the Buddy Cups North East Ladies on Friday 3rd July in the education room at Wharton Park when we heard all about the work of the Pisces and Cancer Trust from Elizabeth Heath. It was a very enlightening talk about the Health and Wellbeing benefits associated with fishing and the fact that it is open to all ages and abilities. Our ladies were left with plenty to think about and also the chance to sign up to go along to one of the groups which are free and includes lunch at The Swinton Park Hotel in Masham North Yorkshire. We also had a fun Fish themed quiz prepared by Sue which was educational as well as funny. Our next meeting will be held on Friday 7th August when we will be back in the Neighbourhood Cafe at Hotel Indigo in Durham at 1pm. Our guest speaker next month is Caroline Tweedie who is the lead Macmillan Cancer Nurse. We look forward to seeing you there for coffee, chat and relaxed time together.
