Crafting Our New Banner with Buddy Cups North East

Despite the best efforts of Storm Amy on Friday a warm welcome was awaiting our Buddy Cups North East members at Hotel Indigo where we had a fun afternoon under the creative eye of our own Liz Beaumont who had created a central panel for our new banner which we can use when we are out and about at Craft Fayres etc. Liz brought along lots of lovely trinkets, threads, adornments for us to create our own mini squares which she will then attach around the central panel. Most of the group took their squares home to put them together and we very much look forward to seeing what everyone creates. It was an afternoon of chat, laughter and just relaxing together which was great. Our next meeting will be on Friday 7th November at 1pm in Hotel Indigo and we have a member of the team from If You Care Share coming to talk to us about the work they do supporting those with mental health and suicidal issues. This is a very worthwhile charity, who are also supported, like ourselves, by Hotel Indigo and we look forward to learning more about the role they are playing in schools and organisations in the North East. Then it will be our Christmas Lunch in December - cannot believe how quickly that has come around but more on that next month 🥰.
