June Event:Springtime in Wharton Park

Our June meeting saw Buddy_Cups meeting in Wharton Park on a sunny but windy afternoon. We soon gave up on the sitting outside and retreated to the comfort of the Cafe are for a time of catch up and to listen to Susan Garrett from Northern Cancer Alliance tell us about the work that they do in linking various aspects of Care together in our area. Susan gave us all a good description of what they can offer and our ladies were keen to ask questions. We hope to see Susan again at future meetings to quiz her further. We were also visited by Kelly Kay from Northern Cancer Voices, along with one of her Volunteers who left us the attached leaflet regarding help from Northern Gas for all those undergoing Cancer treatment and follow up. Our next meeting is back at Hotel Indigo on 5th July at 1pm. Please do feel free to come and join us.
